Belushi became a breakout star on Saturday Night Live and he would go on to play some of the most revered characters in cinema history including John “Bluto” Blutarsky in National Lampoon’s Animal House. He starred as “Joliet” Jake Blues in The Blues Brothers, alongside friend and creative partner Dan Aykroyd.
The actor, musician and comedic genius received numerous accolades both during his lifetime and posthumously, including an Emmy for his writing on SNL, two GRAMMY nominations, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and more.
