Earl “DMX” Simmons was a multi-platinum rapper, songwriter, and actor. Celebrated for his unique blend of brutally honest lyrics and raw, emotional delivery, his music explored themes of struggle, faith, and redemption which he drew from his own turbulent life experiences.
His 1998 explosive debut album "It's Dark and Hell Is Hot" catapulted DMX to super-stardom and he is, to this day, the only rap artist to have five consecutive albums debut at #1 on the Billboard 200, two of which were in the same year.
